Bi Jiyao is the Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Macroeconomic Research. His reputation as a leading economist is widely recognized as a national-level specialist by China’s New Century Talents Project. Mr. Bi had previously been the First Secretary of the diplomatic mission of the People’s Republic of China to the European Union and has served as Director General of the Institute for International Economic Research under the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). In academia, he holds a PhD in Economics from Peking University, and his research focuses on economic modeling, China’s economic development, the world economy, and China’s external economic relations.
